Akron-Canton Airport Launches Activity Series

As we enter an unusually challenging time and face growing concerns about the spread of Coronavirus, we all have a lot on our minds. While we often look to travel for a state of release, it’s not an option right now. So, the Akron-Canton Airport has launched an online, weekly series named “CAK Family Fun”.

Every Wednesday, Facebook users and CAK email recipients will receive directions for a new contest. Ranging from coloring to scavenger hunts, people of all ages have the opportunity to let their mind wander and relax.

In its first week, CAK Family Fun’s initial coloring contest netted 136 wonderfully, colorful entries and extremely positive feedback. Five winners were chosen and received a travel related prize. The second contest, just opened, invites entrants to think about what they would need for a trip if they only had room for five items.

Throughout the week, CAK will also be posting ideas for virtual tours around the world, links to fun educational activities and ways for people to connect during this time.
