Introducing the use of antimicrobial surface protectant

GREEN, OH – The Akron-Canton Airport (CAK) continues to place the safety of passengers and employees as its number-one priority. CAK has implemented the use of microSURE (TM) all-purpose cleaner and disinfectant spray in the terminal. This measure is in synchrony with several other health enhancements the airport has put into place.

Unlike traditional disinfectants, microSURE (TM) all-purpose cleaner and disinfectant stays in place longer on the surfaces that it is applied to and serves as a surface protectant and sterilizer which kills microbes instantly.

Once the non-toxic spray is dry, it coats the surface with invisible nanoscopic crystals that form a new surface which prohibits reproduction and spread of microbes.

The spray is 99.99% effective against the most common germs, bacteria, and viruses including COVID-19. The CAK custodial staff is treating all hard surfaces and high touch areas, including floors, monthly.

“We look forward to welcoming additional travelers through CAK this holiday season,” said Renato “Ren” Camacho, Akron-Canton Airport President and CEO. “With the proactive measures in place, we are confident that CAK is the safe, easy way to reconnect with distant family and friends in Northeast Ohio.”

Other health enhancements CAK has put into place include installation of acrylic shields in high-traffic areas, providing face coverings free of charge, social distance markers, spaced seating, additional cleaning and disinfecting, additional Purell® hand sanitizer stations throughout the terminal and NanoSeptic self-cleaning products on touchpoints.
