TSA PreCheck Local Enrollment Event at CAK

Akron-Canton Airport invites the community to enroll in the popular TSA PreCheck expedited screening program February 6, 2017 through February 10, 2017. The screening program will be held in the public conference rooms at the Akron-Canton Airport.

With the nearest enrollment center nearly 20 miles from the airport, CAK wants to make the process even easier for customers to complete.

TSA PreCheck is an expedited screening program that enables identified low-risk air travelers to enjoy a smart and more efficient screening experience. For TSA PreCheck travelers, there is no need to remove shoes, 3-1-1 liquids, laptops, light outerwear or belts. Today, TSA PreCheck has more than 450 lanes at 167 U.S. airports.

Applying for TSA PreCheck through CAK's local enrollment event is easy. First, applicants should pre-enroll ahead of time by simply clicking here, choose “Pre-Enroll” then “Apply Now” and fill out steps 1 through 4. Once at step 4 of 4, type in your location “Akron, OH” and then be sure to choose “5400 Lauby Rd”. Next, at the bottom of the screen select an appointment time (the first available shows, but use the drop down to choose a different date and/or time).

To complete the application process, applicants will need to bring proof of identity and U.S. citizen documentation (such as a U.S. Passport or a birth certificate and a driver license). If bringing a valid U.S. passport, that is all that is needed.

The application process is completed on site where fingerprints are captured for a background check and the $85 application fee is collected for five years of service. The fee can be paid by credit card, money order, company check, or certified/cashier's check. Cash and personal checks are not accepted.
