Spirit Airlines Expands Ultra-Low Cost Service in Northeast Ohio with New Service to Akron-Canton Airport

Nonstop Flights to/from Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers and Tampa; Begin November 10, 2016; Myrtle Beach to Start Spring 2017

GREEN, OH (July 26, 2016) – Endless political ads, raking leaves, the end of summer…all depressing reminders that fall will be here in no time. Don’t worry Northeast Ohio! Spirit Airlines has you covered with new routes and ultra-low fares to escape the cold. Spirit is proud to announce Akron-Canton Airport (CAK) will become the 57th city to join its expanding network, with new daily nonstop service to four Florida destinations starting November 10, 2016 and seasonal service to Myrtle Beach beginning in April. So ditch the pumpkin latte for a frozen tropical cocktail and start planning your beach getaway. The new service includes:

Akron-Canton to/from

Fort Lauderdale - beginning November 10, 2016 - Once daily

Orlando - beginning November 10, 2016 - Once daily

Tampa - beginning November 10, 2016 - 3 days/week (seasonal)

Fort Myers - beginning November 11, 2016 -- 4 days/week (seasonal)

Myrtle Beach -- beginning April 27, 2017 - Once daily (seasonal)
