REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS

INSTALLATION OF NORTH SIDE AIRFIELD PERIMETER ROAD

The Akron-Canton Airport is hereby soliciting request of qualifications and experience from airport consultants for the provide design services for the installation of a north side airfield perimeter road.

 A qualification-based selection process conforming to FAA Advisory Circular 150/5100-14D will be utilized.  Fee information will not be considered in the selection process and should not be submitted with the statement of qualifications.  Selection criteria will include:

  • Recent experience on similar projects
  • Qualification to perform all aspects of project
  • Ability to meet schedules within budget
  • Quality of previous airport projects undertaken
  • Disadvantaged Business Enterprises participation
  • Local participation

Fee will be negotiated for project based upon a detailed scope as approved by the FAA.

This contract is subject but not limited to the following federal provisions:

  • Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964
  • Section 520 of the Airport and Airway Improvement Act of 1982
  • DOT Regulations 49CFRPart 26 – Disadvantage Business Enterprises Participation
  • DOT Regulations 49 CFR Part 30–Federal Trade Restriction Clause

Interested firms should submit three copies of their statement of qualifications and experience along with references to Akron-Canton Airport, 5400 Lauby Road NW, North Canton, OH  44720, no later than 1:00 PM, Friday, March 27, 2020.  Interested firms can request a detailed package by contacting Gretchen Shrock, Executive Assistant, at gshrock@akroncantonairport.com or (330) 499-4059.

CAK receives Federal financial assistance from the USDOT through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) primarily for airport construction projects. As a condition of than financial assistance, CAK will ensure that DBE-certified businesses have an equal opportunity to compete for and to enter into contracts with the airport.

PAVEMENT REHABILITATION AND RECONSTRUCTION DESIGN OF

NORTHEAST AND SOUTHEAST GENERAL AVIATION RAMPS

The Akron-Canton Airport is hereby soliciting request of qualifications and experience from airport consultants for the design of pavement evaluation, rehabilitation, and reconstruction of apron and taxiway/connector areas in the North East and South East General Aviation Ramps.

A qualification-based selection process conforming to FAA Advisory Circular 150/5100-14D will be utilized.  Fee information will not be considered in the selection process and should not be submitted with the statement of qualifications.  Selection criteria will include:

  • Recent experience on similar projects
  • Qualification to perform all aspects of project
  • Ability to meet schedules within budget
  • Quality of previous airport projects undertaken
  • Disadvantaged Business Enterprises participation
  • Local participation

Fee will be negotiated for project based upon a detailed scope as approved by the FAA.

One Heavy Duty, 6x6, Front Mounted Engine, Conventional Cab, Airport Snow Removal Chassis with All Wheel Steering, 20’ Power Reversible Plow, 12’ Underbody Plow, Chassis Mounted Dual Spinner Conveyor Type Spreader With Pre-Wetting System

Sealed bid proposals for one Heavy Duty, 6x6, Front Mounted Engine, Conventional Cab, Airport Snow Removal Chassis with All Wheel Steering, 20’ Power Reversible Plow, 12’ Underbody Plow, Chassis Mounted Dual Spinner Conveyor Type Spreader With Pre-Wetting System will be received by the AKRON-CANTON AIRPORT AUTHORITY in the Administrative Office, 4th Floor, Terminal Building, until 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 10, 2020, at which time and place they will be publicly opened, read, and tabulated.

This bid is for one Heavy Duty, 6x6, Front Mounted Engine, Conventional Cab, Airport Snow Removal Chassis with All Wheel Steering, 20’ Power Reversible Plow, 12’ Underbody Plow, Chassis Mounted Dual Spinner Conveyor Type Spreader With Pre-Wetting System. 

Copies of the specifications may be picked up, mailed or emailed electronically. Bids should be sealed in an envelope and addressed to the AKRON-CANTON AIRPORT AUTHORITY. The envelope MUST be plainly marked with "Heavy Duty, 6x6, Front Mounted Engine, Conventional Cab, Airport Snow Removal Chassis with All Wheel Steering, 20’ Power Reversible Plow, 12’ Underbody Plow, Chassis Mounted Dual Spinner Conveyor Type Spreader With Pre-Wetting System.”

The AKRON‑CANTON REGIONAL AIRPORT AUTHORITY reserves the right to reject any and all bids, accept the bid which is in the best interest of the Airport Authority, and hold all bids one hundred twenty (120) days before final action thereon, if found necessary.
