Thanksgiving Travel Tips

Traveling this holiday? LOTS of folks are. So, planning ahead can save you time and hassle. To help you prep, we offer these tips:

Check out the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) travel checklist. Some items included? The 3-1-1 rule for liquids, packing tips, and check-in procedures.
Arrive at CAK at least 2 hours before your trip. We are expecting a full house over the holiday weekend, so build in a little more time than normal to reach your gate.
Remember your ID. Adult passengers (18 and over) are required to show a U.S. federal or state-issued photo ID.
Most flights will be very full so check-in early (or online) and be sure that your checked bag is 50 pounds or less to avoid an "overweight" fee.
Great news! Pies and cakes are permitted through security checkpoints, but may require further inspection or taste-testing. Bring an extra pie, just in case.

Bring an extra dose of patience to CAK. Remember that our airlines and security partners are committed to getting you safely to your destination but it may take a little extra time. Happy Thanksgiving!
