Akron-Canton Airport reaches 5,000 fans on Facebook

     Green, OH: Need another good reason to join the Akron-Canton Airport Fan page on Facebook? How about 5,000 reasons and a way to help you relax in 2010? Akron-Canton Airport (CAK) became the first U.S. airport to reach 5,000 fans on Facebook. To celebrate the milestone, we want to help some of our Facebook fans relax during their next trip from CAK. So, we're giving 50 of our Facebook fans a $20 John Robert's Spa gift card and a free massage coupon good for our massage chairs in the airport terminal building.One lucky grand prize winner will win an ultimate relaxation package that includes a 60 minute massage, a 30 minute facial, a manicure, and a haircut and style from our friends at John Robert's Spa.

     CAK was one of the first airports in the country to start utilizing the popular social networking site Facebook in 2007. Since then, the CAK group has continued to grow with users from not only Northeast Ohio but all around the U.S. offering their opinions on a broad range of topics from their favorite destinations to customer amenities."Social media has transformed how we communicate with young, tech-savvy travelers," said Kristie Van Auken, Sr. Vice-President and Chief Marketing & Communications Officer.      Head over to Social CAK, the airport's social media hub to enter to win the free massage plus a $20 gift card at John Robert's Spa, and a chance to win the ultimate relaxation package. Winners will be announced each week on the airport's fan page on Facebook. The grand prize can be redeemed at John Robert's Spa locations in Mayfield Heights, Solon or Chagrin Falls.
