AIRTRAN AIRWAYS BRINGS FT. MYERS NONSTOP BACK TO AKRON-CANTON AIRPORT

Green, OH--   It is back!  AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI), today announced the airline will resume its popular seasonal flying from Akron-Canton Airport (CAK) to Southwest Florida International Airport in Ft. Myers this winter. The daily flights, which will be served by the airline's popular Boeing 717 aircraft, will begin December 21, 2006.

"AirTran Airways wants to make this year's fall and winter travel season a bright one for our customers in Northeast Ohio seeking sun-soaked getaways for both business and pleasure, and we are glad to respond to customer demand with the return of our daily nonstop flight to Ft.
