A Better Way To Go Akron Canton Airport

New York, New York!

New York, New York!

It is the melting pot of America; the financial center of the U.S. and potentially, the globe. And, CAK Customers have enjoyed low fares and big jet service to this amazing city since 2002. It is our largest market, with more than 200 Northeast Ohio travelers flying there daily.

Sadly for us, Southwest elected to move their slots to another airport in their network and away from our community. There is a huge silver lining, however! United Airlines and American Airlines commenced nonstop service to New York from CAK, so our Customers still have incredible access to the city! I’d argue that the service is better now. United flies twice daily to New York/ Newark and American flies once daily to LaGuardia. So, now, we have three daily trips to two very popular New York airports. Plus, United’s Newark service pulls double duty; existing as one of United’s most important global hubs as well as offering access to Manhattan. Boom!

These new flights are extremely important to businesses in the region. And although the fares are higher than they once were, the nonstop access to important markets like New York will help sustain CAK through a challenging 2016. We are grateful that United and American have decided to grow and serve our community with amazing access to important destinations and global connecting hubs. Book your New York trip at either UNITED.COM or AA.COM.
