Signing off for a bit

Hello friends.

I wanted to let you know that I'll be signing off for a bit to recover from surgery. I had a small brain tumor removed last week and so I'll be out for awhile. Don't worry about things at the airport though. Rick and Kristie, my two wingmen will keep things working smoothly.

So, I look forward to getting back to View at 1228 in the very near future. Fred

Fred, you've been gone for an awefully long time - when will you be posting again? Hope all is well...

I travel to Chicago once a month for my work. Cak is still the easiest and most convienient airport to travel out of in the area. Keep up the good work!

Hello - Hope you have a speedy recovery and wishing you all the best. I love CAK - I don't fly often but when I do, I always try to book a flight from here. When flying with our granddaughter to Disney World a few years back, the flight was delayed and we were able to go home for a while and relax then return that evening. Sure beats sitting around the airport all day!!

I drive to Canton weekly from Cleveland, and I have often noticed the B747 parked at the Akron-Canton airport for several months now. I didn\'t know that this aiport could provide uplift for wide bodied aircraft.
Does Rev. Angley\'s plane take-off from this aiport? Did it land in CAK as well? How did it get there?

suzanne johnson,
I hate to say it, but it is your loss. I fly often out of CAK. So often United knows my luggage and hands me it! No other airport comes close to the service and friendly personal, NO ONE!

Maybe the long walks and lines at Cleveland will calm you down.

Your doing a great job CAK!

will never fly out of CAK airport again after the chaos of sept 28, security delays, and missing flight.
this airport, that morning, was by no means hassle-free, and between the inefficient security, uncaring Air Tran gate attendant, and missed flights for several travellers, we will NEVER travel out of CAK again. EVER

Fred:

I know your airport will be in great hands with Rick and Kristie!
The team you have in place at Akron/Canton are the best in the nation! We pray for your quick and speedy recovery!

You've done a fine job with KCAK Fred, all the best in recovery to you from Calgary, Canada, heart of the new West!

The large 747 parked on the taxiway belongs to the televangelist Ernest Angley. He uses it for mission trips to Africa.

Hi,
I have been flying from Akron airport for the last three months and there is a huge plane with a foreign insignia that sitting on one of the runways. What\'s with that? Is it for scenery? There are many stories circulating about the plane, is there an \'offcial story\'.
Thanks,

Drew Dillen:   06/12/2007 10:14 AM

Best wishes for a quick recovery!

Wishing you the best!!!
