Representative John Boccieri and Chris and Jessica from his staff just visited with Rick and me here at the airport. It was a wonderful visit!

Congressman Boccieri is a great listener; that was the thing that most struck me during our visit. He knows a lot about airports too. It helps that he is an Air Force pilot and really digs aviation. He won extra CAK brownie points for using our new US Airways DC flight.

Rick and I got the sense that he is going to fight hard in Washington D.C. for key airport projects. He talked about working with Representatives Ryan and Sutton to get things done. We are looking to finish our runway 5/23 project early, redesign our entrance road and expand parking, and add another high technology business park here at the airport. He seemed as jazzed about the projects as we are.

Overall, I think he has a good common sense approach to doing what is right for the district and we really look forward to working with him to make this airport even more productive for the region.
