Green, OH: Was it your first? Your first trip from Akron-Canton Airport (CAK)? Well, we know more and more travelers from throughout the region are starting their journey from CAK because more than 147,100 passengers traveled to and from CAK in August, making it the airport's busiest August of all time. That figure was up eight percent compared to 2009 and beat the airport's previous best August by 1,300 passengers which was in 2008. This is the airport's fifth monthly record in 2010....

New flight options and low fares attracted more than 147,300 passengers to and from CAK in June, making it the airport's busiest June of all time. Green, OH:Akron-Canton Airport (CAK) not only makes a big impact on travelers, we make a big impact in the community. In 2008, the airport's total economic impact in the region exceeded $398 million. That figure was determined by a recently completed economic impact report commissioned and conducted by the airport authority. In addition to the economic impact figure, the airport contributes to and helps sustain 2,244 jobs in the region, making it one of the top 25 employers in Summit County.
