Green, OH: Planning to climb a fourteener this summer? If so, head to Denver or out west from Akron-Canton Airport (CAK). Starting this Friday, May 18, 2012, Frontier Airlines will upgrade their two daily flights from CAK to/from Denver to the Airbus 320, the largest jet in their fleet. Study finds $958 million in total airfare savings since 1997
Green, OH: Low fares matter. Since 1997, low airfares at Akron-Canton Airport (CAK) have saved $958 million in total airfare savings for the Northeast Ohio region. This figure will be shared by President & CEO Rick McQueen at the Akron Roundtable today where he will present the details of CAK’s low fare impact study. Green, OH: February 2012 may have been a short month but it was huge for Akron-Canton Airport (CAK). Marking the busiest February in history, passenger traffic surged with a 23 percent increase compared to 2011. For the month, 128,300 passengers flew in/out of CAK. That figure surpasses our last best February (2006) by 20,975 passengers. It also marks the 11th record-breaking month in a row for CAK. Year to date passenger traffic is up 18 percent compared to the first two months of 2011....
