Akron-Canton Airport (CAK) deicing facility awarded for engineering excellence

Green, OH: The recently opened deicing plant at the Akron-Canton Airport received an Outstanding Achievement Award in the 2008 American Council of Engineering Companies of Ohio (ACEC) Engineering Excellence Awards Competition. The Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE) will unveil the latest facility in its popular COSE Business Space program with a special ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, January 23 at 10:30 a.m. at the Akron-Canton Airport (CAK), 5400 Lauby Road NW, North Canton.

Green, OH: Passengers throughout Northeast Ohio are continuing to discover why the Akron-Canton Airport (CAK) is a better way to go, and it shows.

Almost 130,000 travelers used CAK in October 2007; a 13 percent increase compared to the same month last year when nearly 115,000 travelers passed through. The previous record for October was in 2005 when 122,000 passengers used CAK.
