I can’t believe it is nearly Thanksgiving! I sure have a lot for which to be thankful: a strong body that is helping me continue post-surgery treatment, a wonderful family and support network, and a fantastic airport team that continues to offer the best and most relaxing airport experience possible. For all this, I am extremely grateful.
I am also grateful for the privilege of welcoming lots of first time travelers CAK. It is fun to show off our beautiful terminal building. These first time...

Spring will be busy at Akron-Canton. Construction on runway 5/23 will ramp back up, as we work to lengthen it to 8200 feet and enhance safety over the next few years. I would also like to offer my thanks to Lucinda Weiss for her years of positive contributions to the airport during her service on our board. Her term expired in March.
Finally, I’d like to welcome Mark Clark, who has...

Our vision for an airport that offers an attractive, comfortable, convenient and affordable way to fly has obviously been embraced, and our growing number of passengers proves it. Direct flights with lower fares to four great Florida cities as well as Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Denver, New York and Philly, easy parking, increased terminal amenities and the continued hard work of our airlines and staff have helped us to succeed in the Northeast Ohio...

After a six and a half week recovery from brain surgery, I am glad to report that I am back in the saddle part-time at CAK. Just as I had suspected, things have been just singing at the airport. We continue to make great progress on the runway extension, AirTran Airways started nonstop service to Las Vegas on August 15, and we are delighted to welcome a new airport trustee, Steve Oakland from The J.M. Smucker Company.
We remain steadfast in our commitment to offer the...
