Akron-Canton Airport Celebrates a “One-Derful” Year with Spirit Airlines
Plus, the return of nonstop service to Tampa and Ft. Myers
Green, OH: Warm sunshine and sandy beaches are in your future. Spirit Airlines resumes nonstop service to Tampa International Airport (TPA) and Ft. Myers Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) from Akron-Canton Airport this week.
“Ft. Myers and Tampa are top winter getaways for Northeast Ohioans,” said Rick McQueen, President and CEO of the Akron-Canton Airport. ”We are thrilled that Spirit Airlines is bringing back the service again this year and better yet, at a price customers can afford.”
The return of these flights coincides with the one-year anniversary of Spirit Airlines at Akron-Canton Airport. Gate parties, baggage claim surprises, an in-terminal concert and a Facebook contest –giving away free round-trip tickets - are on the agenda to commence service to these favorite Florida destinations.
Other Spirit nonstop destinations from CAK include Orlando and Ft. Lauderdale. Ultra-low fares can be booked from Akron-Canton Airport at Spirit.com, or any favorite travel booking website. So say "goodbye" to the Ohio winter and "hello" to sinking your toes into the warm sand.
