Green, OH: Travelers in Northeast Ohio love the Akron-Canton Airport (CAK) and we love them right back. At the end of the day today, 1,564,000 total passengers will have traveled through CAK, exceeding our all-time tally (1,560,031) set in 2010. To celebrate, we will have fun activities for our
Customers and fans. In addition to the all-time record, November was our busiest, as well, with more than 143,000 choosing CAK for their flight. During 2011, monthly passenger records have been set nine out of eleven months.  For the decade, passenger figures have doubled.

"This is an amazing day for us," said Rick McQueen, president and CEO. "We have worked tirelessly to offer the most relaxing airport experience possible while our airline partners offer the lowest average fares in Ohio or Pennsylvania. It is a great combination. More and more travelers are finding Akron-Canton Airport a better way to go and we are so grateful for their business.”

And if you are flying in/out of CAK today, boy, are you lucky!  Be sure to stop by our fun photo booth to commemorate this rockin’ day at the airport. Fun photo strips are on the house. Our gift and dining partner, MSE Branded Foods will be offering Customers free freshly baked cookies at the photo booth, too. Plus, be sure to visit our Facebook wall for an opportunity to win CAK prize packs throughout the day.
