Welcome to the BIG issue of CAK Connections! We have so much big news that we couldn't help but use the word repeatedly. From big checks to big Airbus jets, our customers and community are in store for big things from CAK.
First, it was amazing to have FAA Administrator Randy Babbitt here to deliver a whopping $16.625 million to finish our runway 5/23 safety upgrade and extension project. We have to thank Congressman John Boccieri for inviting the Administrator to the airport; and thank Congressman Tim Ryan for attending and delivering such poignant remarks about the importance of this project. Their support along with Congressman LaTourette and Congresswoman Sutton helped us get an early start on construction, which is vital to our project outcome.
Additionally, big jet flights aboard Frontier Airlines and AirTran Airways mean great new flight options for travelers this spring and summer.
