Midwest Marketing Roundtable
Last week before the big 60th Anniversary/ Dedication ceremony, I had the privilege of joining about 15 other airports at the Midwest Airports Marketing Roundtable. This used to be a Comair event but has evolved into a great share-affair for all the airports involved.
The forum gives airports an opportunity to describe their marketing approach and new promotional ideas; more importantly though, we learn best practices from others in the trenches. Delta and AirTran shared customer preference data and described successful community partnerships. ExpressJet excited us all with their openness to look at scheduled charter service in a whole different way.
My buds in Kansas City have a groovy new website, Binghamton has an awesome affinity program and my friends in Quad-Cities know how to engage travel partners in some sophisticated promotions. It was great to see the dynamic duo from Cincinnati there as well. All of the small airports at the roundtable have Delta Connection service to CVG but even the big dogs can learn a few new tricks!
Brad and Bruce from Sabre Group and Joseph from Mead and Hunt deserve big kudos for helping facilitate this great share-affair. We couldn’t have done it with out their support. Thanks guys!
