Kevin Healy’s comin’ to town!

Posted on 09/05/2008

I am so excited! Kevin Healy, a big wig at AirTran Airways, is coming to CAK to talk to the SMEI Akron group next Tuesday. Sign up here. You may wonder why I am so jazzed about this. Well, Kevin notoriously says nice things about CAK…but it’s not only that. I really, really respect this guy. He has spent most of his career in the airline industry deciding where to put airplanes, how to grow profitability and leading a seasoned marketing and planning team. He is dirt tough; always telling it like it is. I really value that kind of honesty.

Kevin and AirTran Airways weren't lulled into believing old line thinking about our market (small planes serving hubs) that had dogged us for decades. Kevin and team saw potential and gave us a chance to become something bigger and better for our community.

So if you see Kevin next Tuesday, shake his hand and say thanks for believing in us!
