Great News!
How would you like to take the family from CAK to Yellowstone National Park, direct on Frontier? It may happen next summer. Frontier has applied for the authority to fly from DIA to Yellowstone Regional Airport on their new commuter service carrier Lynxs. This would be a wonderful opportunity to see certainly one of the most beautiful of our federal parks. I can’t say enough about how exciting it is to have Frontier starting this regional service. For those ski buffs like myself, eliminating those van rides to the mountain will indeed be a joy. Not only that, but I‘m guessing that you’ll be able to buy a ticket on Frontier going to Aspen, Vail, Steamboat or Telluride, cheaper then flying to DIA and getting on of the van services to the mountains. Those vans are getting to be between 150 and 200 dollars roundtrip. Sure weather plays into flying into the mountains, but most of those airports are upgrading their navigation equipment to accommodate lower ceilings and instrument landings.
One last note, if you haven’t looked at the weather lately out West they are getting a bunch of great snow dumps. Dig out those skis and book your ticket now, this could be one of the best winters out West yet. Downhill here we come!
