Gotta love the snow!

Wow, what a crazy couple of days, if you like snow, and I for one do, it was the best snow storm that we have had in a long time. For those that may remember the late 70s, it was similar to the way those storms blew into our area. Usually coming from the south, those storms would shake their snow and sleet the whole way on their journey to the East coast. Just wanted to thank all who helped to keep our lives safe such as township, villages, counties, and state roadway departments. They do work hard to keep our highways safe, give them the courtesy of the right of way next time you’re on the road with them.

Speaking of dedicated employees, my hat goes off the CAK team. Our field maintenance department did a terrific job of keeping our facility open for air traffic throughout the storm. Airlines cancelled some flights, but none were cancelled due to the fact that CAK runways were closed. All of our employees spent long days and nights hear to keep our facility open for business. Next time you visit our facility, take the time to say thanks to them, and don’t forget the air carrier employees as well, their dedication makes it all happen.

With weather like this, better reserve a flight South, those inexpensive fares will go fast, so now is the time to plan vacations. Rumor has it that there are still some great fares to Fort Lauderdale on AirTran, and its non stop as well. Nothing like getting a head start on those summer tans!
