Frontier is different than the others

Posted on 04/15/2008

Can you believe how much trouble the airline industry is having these days? Holy cow. ATA, Aloha and Skybus are all bust. These cash strapped carriers told passengers to collect their ticket refund from their credit card company…cuz they don’t have any money left. Yikes!

That triggered the credit card companies to target smaller yet stable carriers like Frontier Airlines. Overnight, because of this crazy dynamic, Frontier’s access to their cash was in jeopardy. So, to stop the credit card company from limiting its access to its money, Frontier filed for bankruptcy protection; giving them some time to negotiate new contracts.

Now let me just say that Frontier Airlines offers an extraordinary customer experience; they’ve been in business for 14 years and they have a strong network from their Denver hub. I think they have a viable business plan and a savvy President/ CEO in Sean Menke. Unlike the other carriers, Frontier Airlines will continue to operate their full schedule during their restructuring and honor their frequent flier program.

So essentially, if you’ve booked your ticket to Denver (or anywhere they fly) you won’t notice anything out of the ordinary. Just friendly folks at the ticket counter, cute animals on the airplane tail and LiveTV® in every seatback.

I’ve got tickets for a July flight on Frontier to Los Angeles already booked and I can’t wait! We will book them to Aspen too, one of their newest cities for an October flight. Join us…you won’t regret it.
