Frontier Airlines wins top honors among business t

The votes are in! Readers of Business Traveler Magazine have named Frontier Airlines the best low cost carrier in the country for 2006. It’s the first time Frontier has won the honor and we are tickled! It’s so fun when one of our carriers is selected for such a big award.
Of course, we are not very surprised Frontier Airlines’ was voted best by business travelers. Big, new comfy Airbus jets, DirecTV in every seatback, two extra inches of leg room, and legendary customer service really sets them apart (in what some would consider a commoditized business). Also, their Early Returns frequent traveler program is excellent… and you can actually redeem miles because there are no blackout dates or crazy fine print.
When Fred and I looked at the best carrier to fly passengers out west from here, Frontier was the stand out. We are so lucky that this fine carrier chose to serve our community. And imagine how pleased we were when Frontier and AirTran Airways announced their frequent traveler partnership.
Here’s the one thing I know… things are getting better all the time at CAK. Congratulations Frontier!

Happy New Years to my neighbors out at Akron/Canton. Continue the tremendous work you do at your airport. Most airports are jealous of how well you have grown in just a 10 year span, and will continue growing in the future. I have flown it 10+ times in the last couple years, and will continue using it.
Right now my coalition of Airport Supporters are trying to help out the struggling Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport. They have done a successful job with flights to Orlando aboard Allegiant Air (ALGT-Nasdaq), but they have not done much since then.
YNG needs to look at how well CAK has done over the years and perhaps take some tips from you guys. You run a very successful operation and should be commended for IT! You earn my award for the best airport in Ohio and the best operation of any government funded operation in the region.
GOOD LUCK IN 2007!
