“FlaminGO caper” - AirTran Airways

The great “FlaminGO caper” has begun! Find the 4 teal flamingos amongst the throng of pink ones and win a set of roundtrip tickets on AirTran Airways.

The whole promotion is being done to highlight AirTran Airways service to Florida which now consists of daily non-stop service to 4 separate Florida markets; Orlando, Tampa, Fort Myers and the most recent addition of Fort Lauderdale, which started today, Jan. 4th, 2007.

The “FlaminGo campaign” has already started a great deal of excitement and will continue to do so as it runs for 8 days and more and more people get interested. The great thing about it is that it is just plain fun! Something I don’t think we are hearing enough of today.

To make this promotion go the CAK marketing team along with about 30 other employees of both AirTran and the Airport worked for several weeks putting the program together. Then last night the team of 30 worked form 7:00pm to midnight to set the flamingos in their appointed spots at various local high-profile locations. You cant believe the details and logistics that were involved with this! As Airport Director I am extremely proud of the CAK marketing team and the CAK and AirTran Employees who worked so hard to make it happen. They all did it with great enthusiasm and passion and had a great deal of fun doing it.This teamwork is what is at the heart and soul of the reason why the Airport has been so successful: Great people with great ideas executing them with great passion for the benefit of a great airline and a great airport. The positive energy they have all created will spill over a thousand times in our community for a period of 8 days. With all the positive energy we have from these dedicated people it is no wonder that our best days are still ahead of us.
