Finding your car!

Posted on 10/05/2006

Help is on the way for those of you who might have had a problem finding your car in our parking lots. New and larger signs are in the process of being installed in all our lots this week. This project has been a long time coming because of numerous difficulties we have experienced. Although new row signs were just put up a year or two ago, we discovered that they were literally falling off from the winds we sometime experience here. You would think that it is easy to attach a sign to a pole but in reality numerous things such as effect upon the pole itself must be taken into consideration. It all added up to the fact that the first design just did not hold up.

Once the decision was made to replace the row markers, much engineering was put into the new design and they were ordered. That seemed easy but then the sign company that was in the process of making the new markers decided to close its doors. On to finding a new company and a fresh start, which brings us to today and the start of finally getting a finished product.

It’s been a long time coming but everything should be in place for the upcoming holidays. Remember though that our helpful shuttle bus drivers will give you a card with your cars location when they pick you up, just in case those signs are not finished when you come to fly out this week.  Thanks for your patience, and enjoy those fall colors!
