Delays Will Go Down in Atlanta

Posted on 06/27/2006

In May, the Atlanta Airport will open a new “fifth” parallel runway to their airport. Why is this a good thing for us? We operate 11 daily departures to the world’s busiest airport, which has become increasingly delay prone over the last couple of years. The new runway will provide much needed capacity to Atlanta just in time for the busy summer season. We expect far fewer delays thus making your travel a lot smoother.

The new runway project was gargantuan. It required 18.5 million yards of fill and bridge structures had to be built over what amounts to 18 lanes of I-285. It makes our $75 million Runway Improvement look small. Of course, our project isn’t small but as we say in the airport business “there is no such thing as a small airport”.
