Chamber Love

I had the privilege this week of speaking before the Fairlawn Area Chamber of Commerce and the Alliance Chamber of Commerce. First of all, I was reminded of the valuable role Chambers of Commerce play in their local communities. These two chambers like the many others in the area are driven by hardworking, unselfish people who are interested in the betterment of their business communities. They realize the importance of fostering a strong atmosphere for business development for the benefit of their communities.
I’m honored they invited me to speak before them and the support that they give to the Airport. From the time I walk into the front door until the moment I leave, I am bombarded with questions about “what’s going on at the Airport”. I appreciate everyone’s interest and I love the input I get from everyone about his or her experience at the Airport. This feedback is invaluable to me. I get all kinds of comments on everything from the parking lot shuttle van to the new terminal construction to how much they enjoyed their last trip out of here! They also recommend what new cities they would like to see added. The cities that always come up the most are Chicago, Washington, and Dallas.
I can’t thank the local chambers enough for allowing me this opportunity to converse with their members. I always look forward to these outings.
