Cambria Suites- Akron-Canton Airport- Is Fantastic

Posted on 07/01/2008

There is a new hotel in town and boy is it nice! I had the privilege of attending the grand opening of the Cambria Suites just one exit north of the Akron-Canton Airport, last night. It is modern, totally teched out (free wi-fi, flat screen TVs everywhere) and really cool. Every room is a suite with the sleeping area separated from the work space. Nice. The suites are 25 percent larger than standard hotel rooms and the bedding is beautiful. I travel a lot so a comfy bed is key to me.

This is only the fifth Cambria Suites to open in the United States and the first in Ohio. A second Ohio hotel is being built in Columbus. The hotel is aimed at business travelers mostly but families would like it too.

At the ribbon cutting ceremony, I was particularly thrilled that Mayor Norton, Green’s newly elected top cheese, gave the airport a plug in his remarks. We are working closely together on a big business park project on airport property (to bring even more jobs to the region). His support is warmly welcomed.

Cambria Suites is cool too because you can just drop in for a coffee or a cocktail after work. If you have a few minutes, you really should check this place out.

I hear ya there, the Cambria Suites Hotel in Akron is one great hotel. We had one night there and I could not complain about anything. The service was great and the rooms were comfy. I will definitely be coming back!
