CAK open for flyers!
Many of you have expressed concerns about what special provisions you need to plan for in order to make yourself prepared to come to the airport because of our recent security changes. I’m here to say with just some slight adjustments it is CAK as usual. Yes you may see some additional security personal, and yes you’ll have to buy your coffee once you are through security (at our full service coffee bar), but otherwise things are normal.
What planning can you do to help speed your check in and travel to the gate? Here are some quick ideas.
- First don’t leave your car unattended in front of the terminal, not a new concept, its just being enforced with a heavier hand.
- Arrive approximately 15 minutes earlier then normal, not a big deal, you’ll find it reduces stress.
- If you can check all your bags besides maybe your laptop or purse, do it, then you won't have to pack any differently then normal.
- If you do need to carry on items, go to the TSA web site for their up to date list of restricted items
- Remember all shoes have to be removed in screening so if you are fussy about your feet wear socks.
