CAK open for flyers!

Many of you have expressed concerns about what special provisions you need to plan for in order to make yourself prepared to come to the airport because of our recent security changes. I’m here to say with just some slight adjustments it is CAK as usual. Yes you may see some additional security personal, and yes you’ll have to buy your coffee once you are through security (at our full service coffee bar), but otherwise things are normal.

What planning can you do to help speed your check in and travel to the gate? Here are some quick ideas.

  1. First don’t leave your car unattended in front of the terminal, not a new concept, its just being enforced with a heavier hand.
  2. Arrive approximately 15 minutes earlier then normal, not a big deal, you’ll find it reduces stress.
  3. If you can check all your bags besides maybe your laptop or purse, do it, then you won't have to pack any differently then normal.
  4. If you do need to carry on items, go to the TSA web site for their up to date list of restricted items
  5. Remember all shoes have to be removed in screening so if you are fussy about your feet wear socks.
  6. Another good source for helpful baggage ideas can be found at: BudgetTravelOnline.Com, there is also an article titled How to Prevent Lost Luggage and Pack Wisely.
Other then those few items I think you’ll find our airport running smoothly, and for those last minute travelers, there are some terrific fares Labor Day week and weekend to Florida. Check our web site and go to Book a Flight, I heard that AirTran has one way fares to Tampa for $69 dollars, that’s cheaper than driving to Cedar Point!   Looking forward to serving your travel needs!
