So, the other day I was at a meeting with a local school administrator and the marketing manager of a large employer in our hometown city, Green, Ohio. They were chatting about which one of them- the school system or the large service provider- was the largest employer in Green. Immediately (those of you who know me know that I simply can't keep quiet if I know that an important fact is missing from the conversation), I said "wait a second, the airport is...

135,100. That is a dang good number. Why? That's how many passengers came and went through CAK this May.We trounced our 2006 record by nearly 10,000!

Now, I've been on what seem like a gazillion social media panels since we started blogging, tweeting, FBing, Flickring and YouTubing but this ranks as one of my all time favorites....

2010 is shaping up to be a pretty darn good year. As we move into the second quarter, passenger traffic at CAK is up nearly 6 percent compared to last year. That's pretty exciting; since 2009 wasn't too shabby either (it was our second busiest year in history).
Why is CAK growing? Well, our airline partners-AirTran Airways, Delta Airlines, US Airways Express and Frontier Airlines- are adding new flights this spring and summer.
Here is the run...
