A Better Way To Go Akron Canton Airport

For the Greater Good

Many travelers are aware that CAK and our friends to the north, CLE have had a bit of a rivalry over the last few years. In my opinion, I think we can hold our own with anyone. Something most people don't see is how often we work together for the "greater good."

Ya see, two years ago we purchased two big, beautiful, state of the art Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting vehicles to replace our 16 year old E-One Titan Vs. Now it's CLE's turn to upgrade and they asked if we would help. Our reply was "absolutely." We may be rivals, but first and foremost we're firemen, brothers-in-arms if you will. It's not only my duty but also my desire to maintain that bond, that trust. Tomorrow will mark the third visit our friends from CLE have made to see us and our trucks. We'll let them operate the trucks then sit down and go over the good/bad points of our choices, and the problems we encountered when we went through this process. I wish them the best of luck.

Passengers of both airports can rest assured knowing they are protected by some of the finest people and equipment money can buy. I'm very proud that I can be a small part of that.
