AirTran and the Pro Football Hall of Fame

Effective today AirTran Airways became the official airline of the Pro Football Hall of Fame! This new partnership will be great for the Hall of Fame, great for AirTran, and great for the airport. The three entities have worked diligently to put this arrangement into place and its great to see it become a reality. I cant think of 3 better suited partners to be hooked up together. All the partners are exciting segments of our local community. The Pro Football Hall of Fame no doubt puts our community on the map. It is the finest facility of its kind in the world to be true but on a local level it is a deep part of the social fabric and culture of our community. It is part of who we are and what makes us tick. That’s what makes the new HOF bridge so awesome. Argue about the color all you want, but what that bridge stands for transcends any color. It is a bold statement to the world that the HOF is here but it is also a necessary statement to ourselves of how proud we should be to be the home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. As for AirTran, they have put the Akron-Canton Airport on the map! As one of the most successful and innovative airlines in the US, they have brought great travel value to all Northeast Ohioans. What does that mean? Well one recent blog commenter put it to me this way, “the airport, through AirTran, has opened up for many families the opportunity of expanded education in NYC and BOS and family visits and growth experiences beyond our price dreams.” AirTran has brought this to our community and through their leadership they have made us the second fastest growing airport in the country over the last 5 years.
Let’s review: We have the magnificent Pro Football Hall of Fame, the country’s most innovative airline, and one of the country’s fastest growing airports coming together in a partnership. Sounds great to me!
